I bet you thought I gave up…

…Well I would completely understand if you thought I gave up on my weight loss efforts, since I have once again been missing in action for a few months.  I am having a harder time than I thought getting in to this whole blogging thing, but I am not giving up on that either!

Ok, so what have I been up to? Am I still trying to lose weight/fat? Have I gained 50 more pounds after all the holiday feasts!?!?! If you have been following me at all these are probably some of the questions you have been pondering.  Well I have not fallen off the wagon, I have not gained any weight (in fact I have lost a significant amount), and I will share all of the juicy details in my next post once I get all my notes and thoughts together.

The Starting Line – Week 1

Fat Dude Gets Fit -take #2

So I most definitely fell off the wagon and have been chasing it ever since!  No worries though, I have caught up with it and though I am very winded, I managed to jump back on!

I will be honest, I was throwing around they idea of deleting all my past posts and starting fresh here on FDGF, but this is first and foremost my fitness and fat-loss journal and those past posts, failures, and all the rest is part of this journey.  Though it sucks to look back and see that I messed up, it is also fueling me to get back up and not let it happen again, and hopefully it will serve as encouragement to others to get back at it when you fail.  Because Continue reading

Taking Fat Dude Gets Fit in a slightly different direction

Ok, first off I apologize for dropping the ball and not being consistent on posting here.  To be completely honest, I ended up falling off the wagon about a week after I got back from vacation.  It was not a major setback in my efforts, but I started getting sloppy.

Ok, now  for the update!  I have decided that I am going to start a Fat Dude Gets Fit podcast!  The reason I decided to do this is because I feel like I will do a better job podcasting than I will blogging.  I will still be blogging here from time to time, but most of the posts will probably be show notes and recipes.

So there are a few new things to be looking for in the very near future. 1. The podcast  2. new weight loss goals (I am starting from scratch).  3. A possible news letter.

Recipes are moving to Mondays!

So I have decided that maybe it would make more sense to post recipes at the begining of the week since a lot of people may not be cooking as much on the weekend and quick and easy meals are good during a busy week.  So this friday there will be no recipes, look for a new one on monday.  However, come check check the blog out on fridays  for random post on my favorite books, apps, and more pertaining to health, fitness and nutrition!  Sort of a “Friday Free-for-all!”.

I just want to take a second to apologize for not posting last week. I went on vacation last Wednesday and planned on posting before we left, but ended up with a mean sinus infection two days before and was just too miserable to sit in front of the computer for any extended period of time.
